Softball Game Preview: North Union Warriors vs. Okoboji Pioneers

North Union has gone a perfect 4-0 against Okoboji recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. North Union will be strutting in after a win while Okoboji will be coming in after a defeat.

North Union's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over Garner-Hayfield/Ventura. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Okoboji's offense. They came up short against Trinity Christian on Saturday, falling 13-0. The Pioneers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

North Union's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Okoboji, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

North Union took their win against Okoboji in their previous matchup back in June of 2020 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
