Football Recap: Cedaredge Takes a Loss

Cedaredge lost against North Fork back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bruins fell 21-14 to the Miners. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Cedaredge lost, don't look at Logan Sanders. Despite the final result, he threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 43 yards. A healthy portion of Sanders' aerial production (106 yards to be exact) went to Rylan Brooks, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

North Fork's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alex Csere, who rushed for 170 yards and one TD while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Those 170 rushing yards gave Csere a new career-high. Braeden Flores was another key player, rushing for 73 yards and one score.

Cedaredge's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for North Fork, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Cedaredge will host Grand Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins will be up against the Cardinals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Fork, they will face off against Meeker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Miners' offense will have their work cut out for them.
