Basketball Recap: Rocksprings Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Rocksprings, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 57-53 W over the Medina Bobcats on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Angoras: when they faced off against the Bobcats back in December of 2024, they had to take a 44-39 loss.

Hunter Taylor was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 14 boards. Roy Estrada was another key player, going 5 of 10 en route to 11 points and six rebounds.

Rocksprings was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.3 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 6.4.

Rocksprings is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Medina, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rocksprings will face off against Knippa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rocksprings is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season. As for Medina, they will take on Leakey at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
