Soccer Recap: Cypress Falls Comes Up Short

Cypress Falls was the 1-0 winner over Cypress Ridge when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cypress Falls Eagles fell just short of the Cypress Ridge Rams by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Rams are ranked 61st).

Cypress Falls' loss dropped their record down to 5-7-3. As for Cypress Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Memorial the next time they take the pitch. Cypress Falls will head out to face Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Cypress Ridge will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th.
