Basketball Recap: Discovery Comes Up Short

Discovery is still winless after their match against Magnolia Science Academy Reseda on Tuesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-34 heartbreaker at the hands of the Magnolia Science Academy Reseda Warriors. Discovery was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Magnolia Science Academy Reseda apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Discovery's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Magnolia Science Academy Reseda, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9.

While Discovery had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
