Stanton County hadn't done well against Wichita County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Indians 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since September 6th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Stanton County who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 23-25, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Wichita County still got an impressive performance from Allie Hernandez, who had ten digs.

The win made it two in a row for Stanton County and bumps their season record up to 19-16. As for Wichita County, their loss dropped their record down to 18-18.

Coincidentally, Stanton County and Wichita County will both be playing Ellinwood the next time they take the court. The Indians will head out to face the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
