Bellevue East has gone 8-2 against Omaha Northwest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Chieftains will face off against the Huskies at 6:30 p.m. Bellevue East will be strutting in after a win while Omaha Northwest will be coming in after a defeat.

Bellevue East took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They skirted past The Platte 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Bellevue East were the better team in the second half.

Eddie Leister and Ryker Lemley scored both of Bellevue East's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Omaha Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 4-1 to Buena Vista. Omaha Northwest were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Omaha Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Bellevue East, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.

Bellevue East was able to grind out a solid win over Omaha Northwest in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Chieftains have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
