Baseball Recap: Grosse Pointe South's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Grosse Pointe South lost against Dakota back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blue Devils fell 7-3 to the Cougars. The loss put an end to the Blue Devils' undefeated start to the season.

Grosse Pointe South got a good showing from Jack Danielewicz, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Andrew Dilodovico was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Lupo, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Grosse Pointe South fell to 2-1. As for Dakota, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Grosse Pointe South will face off against Roseville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Dakota, they will take on Troy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
