Volleyball Game Preview: Cartersville Hurricanes vs. Woodland Wildcats

Cartersville has gone a perfect 10-0 against Woodland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cartersville has ten straight victories, Woodland has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Cartersville earned a 2-0 win over Jonesboro.

Cartersville easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Mckenzie Wilkie, who had 12 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last eight matches.

Meanwhile, Woodland didn't have quite enough to beat Rome on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

Cartersville's victory bumped their record up to 38-6. As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to 10-28.

Cartersville was able to grind out a solid win over Woodland in their previous meeting back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
