Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Mojave's Third in Last Four Outings

Mojave won the last time they faced Baker and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Mojave Mustangs came out on top against the Baker Braves by a score of 40-32. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anthony Ortiz, who posted 11 points and four steals. That was a full 34.4% of Baker's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Amador, who put up eight points and eight rebounds.

Mojave is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Baker, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Mojave will welcome Trona at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Mojave has lost four straight at home , while Trona has lost three on the road. Baker has already played their next game (against Big Pine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
