Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Homer walked away with it. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Palmer Moose on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Mariners: when they faced off against the Moose two weeks ago, they had to take a 7-3 defeat.
Henry Wedvick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
