Basketball Game Preview: Clear Creek Golddiggers vs. Dawson School Mustangs

Clear Creek is 2-7 against Dawson School since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Clear Creek Golddiggers will challenge the Dawson School Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Clear Creek is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They were beaten by Lyons 55-16.

Despite the defeat, Clear Creek had strong showings from Mia Primus, who posted six points, and Zoe Carreon, who put up six points. The dominant performance gave Carreon a new career-high in points.

Meanwhile, Dawson School played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Belleview Christian, falling 42-19. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Clear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Dawson School, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Clear Creek was dealt a bruising 51-13 defeat at the hands of Dawson School in their previous meeting back in January. Can Clear Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
