While Rio Linda put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Tranquillity. The Knights blew past the Tigers 16-0. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Kiera Waggoner made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
In other batting news, Lani Vanderhoof was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Alexa Mendoza was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
