Softball Recap: Kenowa Hills Takes a Loss

Kenowa Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to the Cedar Springs Red Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 12-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Josie Ouellette made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Kenowa Hills' record now sits at 1-19. As for Cedar Springs, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Cedar Springs will challenge Hamilton at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawkeyes will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Red Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. Kenowa Hills will be paying especially close attention to Cedar Springs' matchup: after Cedar Springs faces off against Hamilton, they'll take on Kenowa Hills again at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
