Baseball Recap: Heritage Has No Trouble Against Westwood

Heritage's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past Westwood 10-1. Heritage hasn't had any issues with Westwood recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Heritage let Hezekiah Sprankle and Adrial Diaz Lopez run wild. Sprankle scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1, while Diaz Lopez went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Heritage is undefeated when Diaz Lopez posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Joel Fernandez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Westwood, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Heritage has already played their next game, a 21-11 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 18th. As for Westwood, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lincoln Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th.
