Football Recap: Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Takes a Loss

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 9-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers. The Knights lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 52-7 score last time.

Despite the loss, Fort Wayne Bishop Luers saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Terrance Epperson rushed for 125 yards on only 15 carries.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Fort Wayne Snider, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers and Fort Wayne Snider should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Knights (ranked 59th) will meet Fort Wayne South Side (ranked 201st) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Snider will face off against Fort Wayne Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (26 vs. 153).
