Soccer Game Preview: Niceville vs. South Walton

Niceville and South Walton are an even 3-3-1 against one another since November of 2019, but likely not for long. The Niceville Eagles will take on the South Walton Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Niceville will head out to face South Walton after giving up their first home loss of the season on Monday. Niceville fell 3-1 to Gulf Breeze.

Meanwhile, South Walton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. 2025 welcomed they with a 7-0 loss courtesy of Bartram Trail. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Bears are ranked sixth).

Niceville's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for South Walton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Everything went Niceville's way against South Walton when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Niceville made off with a 5-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Niceville since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
