The Memorial Mustangs will square off against the Stratford Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Memorial's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six contests.
Memorial's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 49-0 win over Jersey Village. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Kade Gulledge and Conrad Bennett. Gulledge rushed for 107 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries while Bennett rushed for 156 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. With that strong performance, Bennett is now averaging an impressive 101.4 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Grant Sperandio, who threw for 144 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Memorial was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 243 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.
Memorial's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Isaac Richardson with two sacks. Memorial got some further help from Sean Franklin: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made four total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Stratford, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 37-21 win over Cypress Ridge on Friday.
Stratford's win came from a few key players Memorial will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Gavin Guzman, who punched in one rushing score, and also threw for 63 yards and one touchdown.
Stratford didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jaelaun Rosser, Jaxson Blundell, and Eric Michaud picked up one apiece. Blundell has become a key player for Stratford: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one interception, but 1-5 otherwise. Michaud got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Stratford's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Memorial suffered a grim 42-21 defeat to Stratford in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Mustangs, Aaron Deleon (who rushed for 93 yards and four scores, and also threw for 195 yards and one TD on only 15 passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
