Soccer Preview: Alexander vs. McClain
The Alexander Spartans will face off against the McClain Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
McClain better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Alexander really get things going. Alexander's defense stepped up to hand Circleville a 4-0 shutout on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Spartans needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.
They hit Circleville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Maddie Brookins,
Avery Shields,
Megan Cheadle, and
Eliza Blaney.
Meanwhile, McClain had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Dragons as they made off with a 6-0 win.
Alexander now has a winning record of 9-8. As for McClain, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4-2.
