Soccer Recap: Greenville Takes a Loss

If Greenville was riding high fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Woodmont on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Raiders fell just short of the Riverside Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Greenville couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Emme Cook, who's now up to 19 this season.

Greenville moved to 13-5-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Riverside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4-1 record this season.

Greenville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverside, they will face off against Nation Ford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nation Ford will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something Riverside surely won't give up without a fight.
