Football Recap: Fork Union Military Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to 42 points the game before, Fork Union Military Academy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were dealt a 49-12 loss at the hands of the Norfolk Academy Bulldogs. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Fork Union Military Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Norfolk Academy, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Fork Union Military Academy will head out to face off against St. Christopher's at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Saints' defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so the Blue Devils' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Norfolk Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at 6:30 p.m. on October 10.
