Jones has gone a perfect 3-0 against Lake View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will head out to take on the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jones has six straight wins, Lake View has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Jones' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Senn 14-0. Considering the Eagles have won 13 contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Anna Black made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Delaney Treccia, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 12 matches. Another player making a difference was Lucy Paskiewicz, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Jones kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lake View lost 18-8 to Mather on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly ten runs.
Amani Giannopoulos was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Natalie Benitez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Lake View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Jones, their record is now 14-1.
Lake View's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jones hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .458. It's a different story for Lake View, though, as they've only averaged .180. Will they be able to contain Jones' hitters?
Everything went Jones' way against Lake View in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Jones made off with a 20-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
