While Reedley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Hoover Patriots by a score of 2-0 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in February.

Jared Bonds paced Reedley's offense, picking up ten kills. Bonds got some help from Adrian Vargas and his 22 assists. Finally, Bonds was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Reedley's record is now 6-3. As for Hoover, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Reedley has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Parlier on the 14th. As for Hoover, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Morro Bay on the 14th.
