Softball Recap: Clackamas Drops Season-High Score on South Salem

Clackamas barely beat South Salem the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cavaliers were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Saxons on Friday. The Cavaliers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Clackamas and bumps their season record up to 2-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for South Salem, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Clackamas will face off against Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
