Basketball Recap: Omaha North Gets the Win

Omaha North won the last time they faced Lincoln Southwest, and Jerri'On Williams did his part to make sure it happened again. The Omaha North Vikings came out on top against the Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks by a score of 80-70 on Thursday thanks to Williams, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Dontae Mcdowell, who went 6-for-10 en route to 17 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

When it comes to explaining why Lincoln Southwest lost, don't look at Makkiah Sanders. Despite the final result, he went 10-for-16 to rack up 30 points. Sanders has been hot, having posted 21 or more points the last six times he's played. Dakari Wilson was another key player, going 5-for-11 on his way to 12 points and five boards.

Omaha North's record is now 8-13. As for Lincoln Southwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.

Looking ahead, Omaha North will take on Burke at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln Southwest, they will challenge Omaha Central at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st.
