Basketball Recap: Westmoreland Comes Up Short

Westmoreland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 70-59 to the Northumberland Indians. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-61 back in January.

Westmoreland's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Northumberland, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Westmoreland will venture away from home to take on Rappahannock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westmoreland is facing Rappahannock at the right time seeing as Rappahannock is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Northumberland, they will welcome Mathews at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
