Football Recap: Christ Covenant Victorious

Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Christ Covenant beat the Sylva Bay Academy Saints 28-22 on Friday.

Christ Covenant found their leader in sophomore Taylor Marshall, who rushed for 42 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 123 yards and one touchdown. Robert Penny was another key player, picking up 96 receiving yards and one score.

Christ Covenant's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Sylva Bay Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Christ Covenant has already played their next matchup, a 36-22 loss against Newton County Academy on the 5th. As for Sylva Bay Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-24 defeat against Ben's Ford Christian on the 5th.
