The Tampa Prep Terrapins can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. Everything went their way against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic as Tampa Prep made off with a 58-37 victory. Winning may never get old, but Tampa Prep sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tampa Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Fuller, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chandler White Brooks, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Bishop McLaughlin Catholic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Wilner Rene. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. Jake Mekdeci was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Tampa Prep pushed their record up to 17-2 with that win, which was their 24th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.13 points. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9.
Tampa Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cypress Creek at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Cypress Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Keswick Christian at 7:00 p.m. Keswick Christian is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
