Football Recap: Central Springs Panthers vs. South Hardin Tigers
Central Springs had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-5 to make it seven. They took a blow against the South Hardin Tigers, falling 35-6. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 46-21 to the Tigers when the teams met back in September of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for South Hardin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1. Considering they have won seven contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
A big part of South Hardin's victory came down to the chemistry between Peyton Welch and his top target Casey Williamson. Welch threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt while Williamson picked up 123 receiving yards and a pair of scores. What's more, Williamson posted two receiving touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August.
Central Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Hardin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Camanche at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
