Volleyball Recap: Wauconda Takes a Loss

Wauconda's tournament run continued when they took on Normal Community on Friday. The Bulldogs fell 2-0 to the Ironmen. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sophie Giles paced Wauconda's offense, picking up three kills. Giles got some help from Avery Geoghan and her five assists. Geoghan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Wauconda's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Normal Community, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Wauconda wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Lyons on the 12th. As for Normal Community, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Bolingbrook on the 12th.
