Preview: Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers vs. Beth Haven Bearcats
Pleasure Ridge Park is 7-1 against Beth Haven since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers will be playing at home against the Beth Haven Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Pleasure Ridge Park suffered a tough 88-67 loss at the hands of DuPont Manual. While losing is never fun, Pleasure Ridge Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while DuPont Manual is ranked 33rd).
Meanwhile, Beth Haven didn't have too much trouble with Fort Knox on the road on Tuesday as they won 69-52.
Beth Haven's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was DaMontez Malone, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Bodin Radulovic was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
With Pleasure Ridge Park's win and DuPont Manual's loss, both teams now sport identical 2-1 records.
Everything came up roses for Pleasure Ridge Park against Beth Haven in their previous matchup back in February as the squad secured a 78-40 win. Will Pleasure Ridge Park repeat their success, or does Beth Haven have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
