Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Aragon's Winning Streak + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Aragon couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the West Park Panthers on Thursday, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Dons couldn't score was back in October, the team can't take the result too hard.

Aragon was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-23, 25-14.

When it comes to explaining why Aragon lost, don't look at Sosefina Tatola. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and one assist. Tatola is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Toli Fa also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

The loss snapped Aragon's winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 27-8 record. As for West Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-6 record this season.

Aragon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Park, they are taking a road trip to take on St. Francis at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
