Baseball Recap: Moravian Academy Comes Up Short

Moravian Academy had lost seven straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 0-14 to make it eight. They lost 12-2 to the Catasauqua Rough Riders. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Catasauqua's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-13. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Catasauqua's part, they got a great performance from Alex Bolmer as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Lynkan Moore was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Roth, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
