Basketball Game Preview: Hoggard Vikings vs. Laney Buccaneers

Hoggard has gone a perfect 10-0 against Laney recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hoggard Vikings will square off against the Laney Buccaneers at 4:00 p.m. Hoggard will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Hoggard took their match with ease, bagging a 59-13 victory over North Brunswick. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 games by 21 points or more this season.

Tristan Shivers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double with 21 points and nine assists. Her afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. AK Chance was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Laney, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 57-49 win over South Brunswick on Tuesday.

Hoggard's victory bumped their record up to 24-1. As for Laney, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Hoggard took their victory against Laney in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 55-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hoggard since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
