Volleyball Recap: Milford Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Milford couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to the Lakota East Thunderhawks on Friday. The Eagles have struggled against the Thunderhawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Bryce Fielman paced Milford's offense, picking up 13 kills. Fielman got some help from Duran Jewett and his 15 assists.

Lakota East can attribute much of their success to Carson Berling, who had seven digs and seven aces.

Milford's defeat dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Lakota East, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.

Milford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakota East, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against St. Xavier on the 21st.
