Football Recap: Lakes Starts Season with Win Against Auburn Riverside

Lakes took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Auburn Riverside Ravens 47-0. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Ravens recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Toetu Moliga was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 131 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries. He is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Jadis Lefono was another key player, throwing for 164 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lakes was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 236 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Auburn Riverside only rushed for 51 rushing yards.

Lakes has already played their next match, a 21-2 victory against Bonney Lake on the 12th. As for Auburn Riverside, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-0 loss against South Kitsap on the 12th.
