Flag Football Recap: Charley Mchale and Lili Reid Secure Win for Foothill

Foothill won the last time they faced La Habra and things went their way on Monday too. The Knights secured a 19-13 W over the Highlanders. The victory was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Foothill was led to victory by Lili Reid and Charley McHale. Reid rushed for 47 yards and one TD, while McHale picked up 39 receiving yards and one touchdown. What's more, Reid racked up 91.5 passer rating, the most she's had over her last eight games.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Foothill's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Preslie Wilson with two. Caroline O'Neal got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Foothill's record now sits at 11-9. As for La Habra, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-7.

Foothill and La Habra should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Knights will square off against Pacifica at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (223 vs. 454). The two teams have allowed few points on average (Foothill 10.4, the Mariners 11.2) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, La Habra (ranked 117th) will meet Brea Olinda (ranked 387th) at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
