Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lockport

Lockport had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Romeoville Spartans by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Porters, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Lockport won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 26-24.

Lockport found their leader in sophomore Emma Consigny, who had 11 digs and two aces. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Consigny. Olivia Maier also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Lockport's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Romeoville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lockport will venture away from home to face off against Hinsdale Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Romeoville, they will square off against Lincoln-Way Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
