Volleyball Recap: Truckee Falls to Fernley in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Truckee kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Fernley Vaqueros by a score of 3-2. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Vaqueros recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Truckee wouldn't go down easily and took Fernley into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-13, 20-25, 16-25, 15-10.

Fernley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Truckee will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Dayton at 6:00 p.m. on September 3. After both having extra time off, Fernley and Debbie Smith CTE Academy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
