Preview: Bensalem Fighting Owls vs. Pennsbury Falcons
Bensalem is 8-2 against Pennsbury since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Bensalem Fighting Owls will look to defend their home court against the Pennsbury Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Bensalem made easy work of Council Rock North and carried off a 64-44 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bensalem.
Bensalem's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Noah Morris, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Amir Drummond, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Pennsbury put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 39-31 victory over Harry S. Truman. Given Pennsbury's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Harry S. Truman is ranked 371st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bensalem's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pennsbury, they have yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 4-0 record.
Bensalem came up short against Pennsbury in their previous matchup back in January, falling 64-54. Can Bensalem avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
