Soccer Game Preview: Northridge vs. Severance

The Northridge Grizzlies will head out to take on the Severance Silver Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Northridge took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Thursday. They blew past Roosevelt 9-1. That eight goal margin sets a new team best for Northridge this season.

Meanwhile, Severance kept a clean sheet against Roosevelt on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Roughriders. Severance wouldn't have won without Ethen Wagner, who scored the game-winner.

The victory got Northridge back to even at 5-5-1. As for Severance, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-2-5.

Northridge took their victory against Severance when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
