Baseball Recap: Legion Collegiate Academy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After a string of four wins, Legion Collegiate Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southside Christian Sabres. The matchup marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Legion Collegiate Academy got a good showing from Gavin MacDonald, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, MacDonald posted three strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four contests.

At the plate, Legion Collegiate Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andres Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Legion Collegiate Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Southside Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
