Baseball Recap: GV Christian Comes Up Short

GV Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Pahranagat Valley Panthers, falling 17-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Guardians of the 11-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Wake Rowling was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

GV Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Pahranagat Valley, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. GV Christian will challenge White Pine at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. GV Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: White Pine has averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Pahranagat Valley, they will face off against Indian Springs at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Indian Springs has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.8 runs per game on average), something Pahranagat Valley will no doubt try to take advantage of.
