Northern Guilford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaxson Kemp, who threw for 143 yards and five TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes. That's the most passing touchdowns Kemp has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Morrison Jr, who picked up 87 receiving yards and three scores.

Northern Guilford will have to keep a close watch on Javion Majette and Tyler Whaley-Melvin, a pair of players who had a big impact on Eastern Guilford's prior game. Majette rushed for 79 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Whaley-Melvin gained 189 total yards and a touchdown. Majette also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Eastern Guilford is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.
Eastern Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Northern Guilford, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Northern Guilford has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 169.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Eastern Guilford struggles in that department as they've been averaging 156.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
