Football Recap: Roxbury Takes a Loss

Roxbury and West Morris Central squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Roxbury had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wolfpack, falling 28-7. The loss continues a trend for the Gaels in their meetings with the Wolfpack: they've now lost three in a row.

Frankie Falco threw for 91 yards on seven of 17 attempts. Blake Lieberwirth was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Deacon Frayne and Brody Mansolino. Frayne rushed for 96 yards and one TD while Mansolino rushed for 28 yards and one touchdown.

Roxbury's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for West Morris Central, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Roxbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Morris Central, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-14 win against Summit on the 14th.
