Baseball Game Preview: Newark Yellowjackets vs. Christiana Vikings

Newark is a perfect 3-0 against Christiana since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Yellowjackets will venture away from home to square off against the Vikings at 3:00 p.m. Newark has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Newark lost 13-6 to First State Military Academy on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Christiana came up short against St. Georges Tech on Thursday, falling 21-1. The Vikings have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Newark's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Christiana, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Newark beat Christiana 5-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
