Hawa Ba and Glory Owoyemi secure win for Horizon Science Academy

The Horizon Science Academy Hawks won the last time they faced the Patriot Prep Academy Eagles, and things went their way on Monday too. Horizon Science Academy slipped by Patriot Prep Academy 34-33. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Horizon Science Academy.

Leading Horizon Science Academy to victory were Hawa Ba and Glory Owoyemi. Ba scored six points along with nine rebounds and six blocks, while Owoyemi scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. The game was Owoyemi's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Halima Elmi, who scored eight points.

The win got Horizon Science Academy back to even at 5-5. As for Patriot Prep Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Horizon Science Academy is on the road again on Friday and play against Wellington School at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Patriot Prep Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Shekinah Christian at 12:30 p.m.
