Basketball Recap: St. Cloud Cathedral Comes Up Short

St. Cloud Cathedral was the 76-75 winner over Litchfield when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Litchfield Dragons on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Crusaders came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Dragons are ranked 326th).

St. Cloud Cathedral's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Litchfield, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Melrose the next time they take the court. Litchfield will head out to face Melrose at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while St. Cloud Cathedral will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
