Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Takes a Loss

Notre Dame was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Aletheia Christian Academy Lions. The match marked the Fighting Irish's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Notre Dame saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Wagner, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Wagner hit this season.

Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame will take on Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, they will square off against Atmore Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aletheia Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
