Football Recap: Bruce Rayford Leads Golden Sierra's Defense on Friday + How To Watch

Golden Sierra hadn't done well against Lindhurst recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Grizzlies walked away with a 38-28 win over the Blazers. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Grizzlies considering their 12-point performance the game before.

Andrew Gerondakis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 289 yards and five touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes, and also punching in one TD on the ground. Those five passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Noah Prine helped Gerondakis out on the ground, picking up 107 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 63 yards on only seven carries.

Golden Sierra was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 207 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 179 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Golden Sierra's defense stepped up as well, laying out Nieko Reyes four times. Bruce Rayford was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. Golden Sierra got some further help from Isaiah Justice: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles.

Golden Sierra's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lindhurst, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
